Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME TLD is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to buy john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our firm, you can order your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the present registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. There are no particular conditions on who can buy a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME top-level domain is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your local language.
